Bogger Operator

Role overview

This opportunity is for an underground bogger operator who can run loaders and tele-remote boggers safely and efficiently to move ore and waste rock in an underground mining setting.

What you'll be doing

• Moving development heading material to stockpiles and haul trucks through bogging operations.
• Checking equipment routinely and escalating any defects or faults found.
• Carrying out road maintenance tasks and managing spillage and sump bogging.
• Working to strong safety standards and maintaining high-quality output.
• Spotting ways to improve operational performance and raising them appropriately.
• Showing clear safety leadership and awareness of environmental responsibilities.

Reporting and working relationships

You will report to the Mining Shift Supervisor and work closely with the Underground Mine Foreman, Superintendent, Technical Services, Surveyors, and Maintenance teams.

About you

The ideal candidate is an experienced underground mining worker who puts safety first, works well with others, and is committed to ongoing improvement.

Required experience and capability

• At least 4 years of experience in underground mining.
• A minimum of 2 years working as a loader operator.
• Sound understanding of general mine services and safe work practices.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good hand skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of JSA systems.

Work pattern and location

This role follows a 7:7 roster. It is open to FIFO candidates travelling from Perth or to people living locally in the Goldfields. The role also includes a recent increase in the residential allowance for local employees.
