Business Analyst (Entry-Level / Associate)

Role overview

The Business Analyst (Entry-Level / Associate) position supports day-to-day business operations by examining workflows, collecting requirements, and turning business needs into practical solutions. The role is centered on improving efficiency, backing data-informed decisions, and contributing to successful cross-team project delivery.

Key duties

You will partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges, gather requirements, and document both functional and non-functional needs. The job also includes reviewing data, spotting patterns, and preparing reports that help guide business and operational choices.

A major part of the role is mapping processes and analyzing workflows to uncover inefficiencies and suggest better ways of working. You will help make sure systems, processes, and solutions stay aligned with business goals and user expectations.

This position also requires preparing core documentation such as business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, process maps, and functional specifications. You will work closely with developers, QA testers, product teams, and project managers so that requirements are understood correctly and delivered as intended.

In addition, you will support testing and validation activities to help confirm that the final solution meets business needs and adds value.

Qualifications and skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Capability to collect, structure, and document requirements clearly
• Knowledge of business processes and workflow analysis
• Effective communication and stakeholder handling skills
• Basic familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools
• Comfort using Excel or comparable tools
• Ability to build process flows, user stories, and supporting documentation
• High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
• Exposure to SDLC or Agile practices is preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Good time management and multitasking skills
• Willingness to learn business systems and analytical tools
• Interest in business operations, strategy, and technology

This is an onsite role based in Singapore River, Central Singapore Community Development Council, Singapore.
