This position is located in Kitchener, ON, with shift days from Monday to Friday. The wage offered is $17.60 per hour. This posting is for an existing vacant position.

Job Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that assigned buildings are consistently maintained in a clean, presentable, and welcoming condition. Key duties involve upkeep of common areas and washrooms, performing tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and wiping down surfaces and glass.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common rooms, kitchens, and washrooms.
• Execute floor care duties including sweeping and mopping.
• Clean windows and ensure blinds are kept free of dust.
• Manage the collection and proper disposal of garbage.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are kept in a safe and sanitary state.
• Identify and report any necessary repairs or replacements.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in cleaning products, sanitation techniques, and effective cleaning methods.
• WHMIS Certification is considered an asset.
• Possess the physical stamina and mobility required for tasks such as reaching, kneeling, and bending.
• Capability to lift, push, and pull loads up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Canadian Background Check is mandatory.
