Role Overview
This position is for a proactive and detail-focused HR professional who will oversee payroll operations, statutory compliance, employee lifecycle activities, and HR documentation. The role requires ensuring payroll is completed on time, legal and labor requirements are followed, employee records are properly maintained, and compliance obligations are met across several locations and projects.
Payroll Management
- Run the monthly payroll cycle accurately and within set deadlines.
- Review attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, reimbursements, and salary deductions before processing payroll.
- Work with payroll service providers and internal teams to collect and validate payroll inputs.
- Prepare and check payroll summaries, salary registers, bank transfer files, and MIS reports.
- Respond to payroll-related employee questions and close them promptly.
- Administer full and final settlements for employees leaving the organization.
- Create salary structures, CTC breakups, and compensation reports as needed.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure the organization remains compliant with all relevant labor laws and statutory rules.
- Manage PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, and related statutory obligations.
- Handle monthly and annual statutory submissions within the required timelines.
- Coordinate with government departments, auditors, consultants, and compliance partners when required.
- Keep statutory registers, records, licenses, and compliance files updated and organized.
- Assist during labor inspections and compliance audits.
Compliance and Documentation
- Track adherence to company policies and HR procedures.
- Maintain compliance trackers and dashboards for HR activities.
- Ensure compliance reports are received on time from different project sites.
- Support HR-related requirements for ISO, ESG, and internal audits.
- Prepare HR analytics and reports for management review.
Education and Experience
Preferred qualification includes an MBA or PGDM in Human Resources. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field is also suitable. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 4 years of experience for an Executive-level profile, or 4 to 7 years for a Senior Executive-level profile.
Preferred Industry Background
Experience in mobility, logistics, transportation, infrastructure, manufacturing, engineering, EPC, or service-based businesses is preferred.
