Role overview

Pegasus Homes is seeking a Concierge for its Chapelwood community in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This is a permanent, on-site position within an independent later-living environment where the focus is on delivering an exceptional resident experience, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring the development operates safely and smoothly.

The role combines premium hospitality service with day-to-day operational oversight, welfare support, safety checks, and compliance responsibilities.

Working pattern and package

This role is based in Wilmslow and is scheduled for 35 hours each week, including weekends. The working pattern follows a rota with shifts between 08:00 and 20:00 across a 7-day cycle. There may also be occasions when attendance at training sessions or company events is required at the site or elsewhere.

The salary is £24,500 per year, along with enhanced benefits and rewards.

Key duties

As the front-facing representative of the community, you will be the main point of contact for residents and visitors, supporting a high standard of service and helping to create a friendly environment.

• Serve as the primary contact for residents, carrying out welfare checks and managing sensitive matters with discretion and clear professional boundaries.
• Act as the initial in-person contact for resident questions, local information, requests, and general support.
• Support site security through routine patrols, CCTV monitoring, controlled access management, and first-response action in emergencies.
• Keep an eye on the building’s mechanical and electrical systems and carry out basic fault checks on apartment fixtures so the property continues to run efficiently.
• Work with sales, management, and contractors to make sure the guest suite and spa areas remain operational and maintained to a high standard.
• Induct and supervise on-site service teams, including housekeeping, landscaping, and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain accurate records for health and safety, maintenance issues, and shift handovers.

Additional information

Enhanced DBS screening is required for this position. Pegasus Homes will manage the application process and cover the cost of the check.
