Role Summary

The Coordinator, Entertainment helps the Vice President and the Entertainment leadership group run day-to-day shoreside operations and keeps Entertainment initiatives moving smoothly across both shore-based and shipboard teams. The role centers on communication, coordination, documentation, and operational follow-through for a large internal audience and multiple partners.

This position also manages a wide set of administrative and project support activities, including the Entertainment newsletter for more than 5,000 team members, planning logistics, rollout tracking, contact and distribution records, organizational charts, SharePoint access, onboarding support, travel and expense coordination, executive setup, travel bookings, and service requests. It also supports reporting, research, presentation development, and backup timecard coordination.

Leadership and Administrative Support

SharePoint and Systems Administration

  • Maintain Entertainment SharePoint sites, update content, review permissions, and manage access levels.
  • Help design and improve SharePoint sites in partnership with the Director of Technical.
  • Provide basic guidance on document organization, version control, and SharePoint best practices.

Financial, Vendor, and Compliance Support

  • Submit complimentary cruise requests and track approval steps for the Entertainment team.
  • Help set up new vendors in the vendor management system for meetings, events, and conferences.
  • Participate in financial planning meetings and help compile reports on major initiatives and budget variances.
  • Work in line with company policies covering safety, IT, finance, travel, ADA, and Global HESS requirements.

Teamwork, Culture, and Engagement

  • Take part in team meetings, brainstorming, and cross-functional projects to encourage collaboration.
  • Promote a respectful, supportive workplace culture and contribute to conflict resolution when needed.
  • Support engagement activities through the Good Time Operations Committee.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and care efforts, including bereavement outreach and milestone celebrations.

  • Collect feedback from the team through surveys and discussions about onboard, shoreside, and post-meeting experiences.

Work Location and Conditions

This is an in-office role based in South Florida. Employees are expected to work from a designated Carnival office Monday through Thursday and may work from home on Fridays. Candidates must already be in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area or be willing to relocate there.

Travel is expected to be minimal or rare. The work setting is climate-controlled with limited health or safety risks. The position requires extended time at a desk or computer.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate degree in Entertainment, Recreation, Tourism, Hospitality, or Business is preferred.
