Customer Delivery Driver (Airside)

About the role

Join a leading inflight catering and retail business in Australia, recognised as a global brand and a market leader. This airside position is a practical, hands-on job that plays an important part in keeping aviation operations running smoothly.

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will represent the company on the tarmac and handle the safe delivery of catering services to aircraft. Your work will involve loading stocked trolleys onto a hi-lift truck, driving a short distance to the aircraft, guiding the vehicle into position, and working alongside airline cabin crew to ensure all items are correctly delivered. You will also return empty carts and head back to the catering facility once servicing is complete.

Main duties

• Drive short distances and carry out basic vehicle inspections, including refuelling.
• Load and unload trucks and aircraft with catering items, trolleys, and ovens, and follow up on any missing or incorrect items.
• Position trucks safely and in line with company, airport, and airline procedures.
• Coordinate with airline cabin crew during aircraft servicing and handover.
• Complete paperwork, reporting, and general cleaning tasks as needed.

What you need

• A clear National Police Check.
• MR or HR driver’s licence is preferred; if you do not hold either, you may be able to begin as a Marshaller.
• Physical ability to carry out frequent manual handling duties.
• Willingness to work a 7-day rotating roster aligned to flight schedules.
• Availability for 38 hours per week, as this is a full-time permanent position.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good numerical ability for accurate documentation and reporting.
• Smart presentation with a strong commitment to hygiene.
