Cyber Security Analyst

Role overview

This full-time Cyber Security Analyst opportunity is based in Toronto, Ontario. The role is for an experienced cybersecurity professional focused on both securing AI systems and using AI to strengthen cyber defense. The selected person will support a major Canadian banking client and help advance AI-driven security capabilities while making sure AI solutions are built, deployed, and managed in line with banking and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and adoption of AI-based cybersecurity controls and defensive capabilities.
• Help ensure AI solutions are secured appropriately across the full lifecycle, including design, deployment, and governance.
• Support cybersecurity practices for regulated banking environments.
• Work on areas such as AI security, GenAI security, SOC operations, threat detection, cloud security, and cyber architecture.

Required background and expertise

• At least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or cyber risk.
• Practical exposure to one or more of the following: AI security, GenAI security, security operations, threat detection, cloud security, or cyber architecture.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning security concerns, including LLM risks, prompt injection, data leakage prevention, model governance, and AI risk management.
• Experience working in banking, financial services, or other heavily regulated sectors.
• Working familiarity with NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, cloud security frameworks, and related regulatory expectations.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or similar are preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Security Copilot, Azure AI Security, AWS Security Services, and Google Vertex AI Security is preferred.
