Data & Metric Analyst

Role overview

This position is for a Data & Metric Analyst supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Quality Program in Titusville, Florida. The role is focused on turning operational data into clear insights that help improve quality, performance, and decision-making in an engineering environment.

What you will do

• Monitor quality metrics for the program and help ensure compliance by updating and improving existing Tableau dashboards.
• Deliver data and metric support for both production and non-production activities, including presentation materials and review sessions.
• Stay ahead of program needs and help prioritize work based on what the business requires.
• Maintain interactive analytics dashboards that support operational performance tracking and improvement.
• Gather, study, and condense data into meaningful information for stakeholders.
• Support quality metric analysis across multiple functional areas as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports that highlight opportunities for improvement and inform future decisions.
• Validate data and protect the accuracy and consistency of dashboards and databases.
• Build and automate data pipelines and related structures.
• Handle ad hoc research requests from senior leadership.
• Create and document business processes and procedures.

Required qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, along with a solid understanding of system databases, data elements, or application software used to improve data collection and analysis.
• Background working with data integration or data warehousing solutions.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
• Ability to obtain and keep a Secret clearance.
• US citizenship is required to begin work, along with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance prior to starting.

• Experience with data integration and data warehousing platforms.
• Ability to explain technical details clearly to decision-makers.
• Skill in analyzing requirements and turning them into data designs.
• Working knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools.
• Experience with Tableau and Tableau Prep.
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt when needed.
• Experience identifying trends, patterns, and root causes using data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
