Role overview
Campbell Property Group, a major Australian residential building and property development group, is looking for an experienced Draftsperson to join the Clarendon Homes team in Norwest. In this role, you will turn customer ideas into compliant tender, contract, and construction documentation that suits the Clarendon product range.
What you will be doing
The role calls for a sharp eye for detail, strong knowledge of compliance requirements, and a practical approach to solving problems so that drawings are accurate, personalised, and aligned with customer needs.
Core duties
- Review sales paperwork and variation requests, then convert them into precise and complete drawings.
- Prepare tender documentation, including site plans, floor plans, and external elevations.
- Develop complete contract drawing sets.
- Produce variation drawings and support lodgement paperwork.
- Draft detailed construction drawings that reflect contract and post-contract variation documents and follow the applicable variation policy.
- Supply clear documentation to the Estimating team.
- Check site conditions and confirm compliance with authority requirements, regulations, and Clarendon’s variation policy.
- Coordinate reports relating to flood, bushfire, BASIX, hydraulics, and landscaping, and include the relevant requirements in drawings unless Permits has handled them.
- Interpret 88B and 10.7 documents and work with sales to keep designs compliant.
- Apply the best siting approach based on customer preferences while keeping plans consistent with CPG construction methods.
- Review structural drawings from external engineers and ensure compliance with current Australian Standards, especially NCC requirements.
- Apply and uphold QA standards from third-party partners, including Platinum Global standards.
- Bring together all variations and complete a thorough QA review before construction starts.
- Respond to certifier RFIs and work with the Permits team to arrange required reports.
About you
You should be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working across teams under pressure. Strong communication skills, a focus on compliance, and the ability to manage detailed documentation are essential.
