Role Overview
An established general contracting company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Facilities Manager at mid to senior level. The position is centered on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently while supporting both routine operations and long-term improvement initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the everyday running and upkeep of office, commercial, or industrial sites.
- Plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules as well as repair work.
- Manage external vendors, contractors, and other service partners tied to facility operations.
- Ensure that workplace operations meet health, safety, environmental, and building compliance requirements.
- Track facility performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Handle facility budgets, procurement tasks, and contract administration.
- Support space planning, workplace arrangement, and office enhancement projects.
- Respond to facility-related emergencies and coordinate follow-up corrective actions.
- Keep accurate records for inspections, maintenance timelines, and compliance activities.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen sustainability, energy efficiency, and the overall workplace experience.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Property Management, or a similar field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of facility operations, maintenance coordination, and workplace safety practices.
- Hands-on experience working with contractors, vendors, and service agreements.
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and building compliance standards.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and project coordination abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office; familiarity with facility management software is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in facilities management, property management, or building operations is preferred.
