Key Responsibilities

  • Track daily transaction and payroll activity using internal systems and dashboards to identify unusual patterns.
  • Record and escalate suspicious behavior for review by senior investigators.
  • Help respond to fraud-related tickets by gathering data and completing initial analysis.
  • Review new client onboarding information for possible fraud indicators.
  • Keep detailed logs of incidents, investigations, and case outcomes.
  • Prepare supporting information for risk reports and dashboard updates.
  • Assist with quality checks to help ensure internal process compliance.
  • Support updates to standard operating procedures and related documentation.
  • Review cardholder disputes, confirm the required documents are present, and check reason codes.
  • Examine transaction history and supporting evidence to judge whether a dispute is valid.
  • File chargeback claims with card networks within required deadlines, including all necessary evidence.
  • Communicate dispute status, document requests, and final outcomes to cardholders.
  • Route merchant representments to Risk Investigators for decisions based on policy and evidence.
  • Work with Customer Support and Credit teams to collect information needed for risk cases.
  • Escalate high-risk matters to Risk Investigators or Managers with complete documentation.
  • Join team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
  • Take part in training on fraud tools, mitigation methods, and compliance expectations.
  • Stay current on evolving fraud patterns and industry practices.
  • Observe Risk Investigators to learn investigation methods and case handling techniques.
  • Help manage exceptions related to international transactions to protect funds and support regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, or an equivalent background with at least 2 years of professional experience.
  • Previous exposure to customer service, operations, finance, or compliance is preferred.
  • Experience with fraud detection or risk management tools is beneficial.
  • Strong accuracy and a careful approach to following procedures.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-moving, risk-oriented environment.
  • Ability to remain seated for long periods, typically 7 to 8 hours per day.
