Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Asset Manager to join our Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) team. This role will support enterprise data center and corporate environments, managing the complete lifecycle of hardware assets. You will collaborate within a team to oversee procurement, leasing, inventory management, disposals, RMAs, reporting, warehouse operations, and other daily operational tasks. The ideal candidate will partner with fellow Asset Managers, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, vendors, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination, operational continuity, and high-quality asset management services across multiple locations. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate asset data, meeting service level agreements (SLAs), enhancing operational processes, and delivering exceptional lifecycle management support. You will work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support procurement, asset tracking, reporting, hardware logistics, and operational excellence initiatives within a fast-paced, customer-focused team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, leasing, inventory tracking, RMAs, disposals, and asset transfers for both data center infrastructure and end-user equipment.
- Oversee daily operational activities such as hardware receiving, asset tagging, shipping, warehouse coordination, inventory management, and documentation for data center and end-user equipment.
- Coordinate domestic and international hardware logistics, including inter-company, intra-company, and RMA shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely processing.
- Maintain precise asset databases, conduct reconciliations, and support data integrity initiatives, audits, asset location verification, and scanning projects across enterprise hardware environments.
- Generate and maintain operational reports and metrics related to purchasing, leasing, inventory, disposals, RMAs, and SLA/KPI performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment and efficient lifecycle management processes.
- Support vendor coordination, spare parts management, and warehouse/dock operations across all supported locations.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, reporting automation, operational efficiency gains, and continuous improvement projects.
- Contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere focused on operational excellence, superior customer service, and accurate asset management for both data center and end-user hardware.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Accumulate 3–5 years of experience in Asset Lifecycle Management, IT Asset Management, Data Center Operations, Logistics, or comparable operational settings.
- Demonstrate experience in managing hardware procurement, leasing, inventory tracking, asset disposals, and RMA procedures.
- Have experience supporting warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory management tasks.
- Exhibit experience in preparing and managing operational reports, metrics, reconciliations, and asset data analysis.
- Experience supporting enterprise data center environments and end-user hardware assets is advantageous.
- Experience supporting multi-site operational environments is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities, with the ability to drive operational execution in dynamic environments.
- Maintain a solid understanding of asset lifecycle management, inventory control, procurement, lease management, and hardware logistics principles.
- Experience utilizing ServiceNow, ERP systems, asset management platforms, or other ITSM tools is required.
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of operational reporting, metrics analysis, SLA/KPI management, and reporting automation techniques.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities concurrently while upholding accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Maintain a strong commitment to data integrity, process compliance, and inventory accuracy.
- Be a self-motivated team player capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Exhibit the ability to identify and support process improvements, operational efficiency initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, reporting tools, and project tracking applications is essential.

- Experience presenting operational updates, performance metrics, and project progress to leadership and stakeholders.
- Possess strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, enabling the development of trusted partnerships across various teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, external vendors, and cross-functional operational partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and professional interactions.
- Strong coordination and collaboration abilities within team-oriented and cross-functional settings.
