Role Summary

The Headmaster position is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. The selected candidate will take charge of both academic and administrative operations, ensuring students receive a high-quality learning experience. The role calls for strong educational leadership, curriculum oversight, staff mentorship, and close collaboration with parents and the school board while keeping day-to-day activities aligned with the school’s mission and core values.

Key Responsibilities

The Headmaster will be responsible for guiding academic direction, strengthening instructional quality, and maintaining effective school operations.

• Lead the school’s academic and administrative functions.
• Support the design and improvement of curriculum and teaching practices.
• Coach, mentor, and assist teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Build and sustain a positive, supportive learning environment for students.
• Work closely with parents and the school board on school matters.
• Ensure all school activities reflect the institution’s vision, standards, and values.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should bring proven experience in curriculum planning and teaching methodology, along with the ability to lead educators effectively. Strong communication skills are important for interacting with students, staff, parents, and the wider community. The role also requires the ability to oversee administrative and operational responsibilities within a school setting, experience in varied educational environments, and a strong commitment to academic excellence and character formation. An advanced degree in Education or a related discipline is preferred.
