Role overview

This position is with AL TAIF, a leading maintenance, repair, overhaul, and lifecycle support provider for land platforms, heavy utility vehicles, and ground support equipment used by the UAE Armed Forces. The role focuses on training delivery in logistics and general subjects for the UAE Army in Abu Dhabi.

Core responsibilities

• Uphold and enforce all applicable safety and security rules, policies, and directives.
• Guide the Chief Instructor on matters related to course design, development, and delivery.
• Share observations with the Chief Instructor regarding learner progress and overall performance.
• Conduct classroom and workshop-based instruction in logistics and general subjects for the UAE Army.
• Plan, build, and evaluate training courses using the Systems Approach to Training (SAT).
• Prepare and conduct operator training programmes and technical assessments for GMC technicians.
• Use coaching and corrective training methods when needed to improve pass rates and test outcomes.
• Act as both a lead and backup instructor for classroom and workshop sessions.
• Manage time effectively across all training-related duties.
• Track, safeguard, and maintain equipment, supplies, and computers used in training.
• Create, update, and continuously refine teaching materials such as lesson plans, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Participate in conferences, workshops, demonstrations, and training programmes as assigned to remain current on teaching methods and training technologies.
• Assist other faculty members in carrying out their responsibilities.
• Protect the confidentiality and security of company information at all times.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Chief Instructor and the Director of the Technical Training School.

Experience and education

A relevant degree is mandatory, while a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Completion of a recognised school or military combat-vehicle training programme is preferred. The role requires at least four years of experience teaching logistics or general subjects. A minimum of two years of military experience is considered an advantage. Familiarity with the Systems Approach to Training is beneficial. Strong written communication is needed, including the ability to prepare studies, briefings, or doctrinal material. The ability to analyse requirements and develop performance-focused instruction and lesson plans is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred. Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential. The candidate should already have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid UAE driving licence.
