Junior Project Specialist

Role overview

The Junior Project Specialist helps drive assigned project workstreams by coordinating activities across engineering, procurement, and construction functions. The position supports delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and nuclear safety expectations while building core project-management and technical capability.

Reporting to senior team members, this role helps keep project records current, tracks progress, and supports governance, quality, and change-control activities. It also provides practical coordination support to engineering and construction groups during planning and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Engineering and Project teams to make sure technical inputs and requirements are prepared properly.
• Prepare progress updates and status summaries for the Project Manager.
• Keep project tracking systems and dashboards up to date.
• Help coordinate work across engineering, procurement, and construction teams for assigned deliverables.
• Support technical teams in day-to-day Project Delivery operations.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on design, planning, and execution tasks.
• Follow safety, regulatory, and nuclear quality requirements under supervision.
• Assist with risk identification, issue logging, and follow-through on action items.

Candidate profile

This opportunity suits someone with an Honours STEM degree and at least 2 years of experience, especially in stakeholder coordination. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate is valuable. Strong communication skills are also important. Preferred certifications include CAPM, Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900), Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300), and Power Platform App Maker (PL-100).
