Role overview
We are looking for an experienced light vehicle mechanic to support a long-term FIFO assignment at a major magnetite mining operation in Western Australia. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of light vehicle and support equipment in a large, fast-growing maintenance environment.
What the role involves
You will report to the maintenance supervisors and be responsible for servicing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance across a diverse fleet. The work is based on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth and is suited to a tradesperson who enjoys a safety-focused team setting and steady project work.

Essential requirements
- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology, or an equivalent trade qualification
- Current driver's licence
- White Card
- At least 2 years of post-trade experience
- A strong commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work well as part of a team
Highly regarded experience
- Previous experience in mining
- Experience working with both light vehicle and heavy rigid truck equipment
- Heavy rigid driver's licence
- Forklift ticket
- Work at Heights qualification
- Confined Space qualification
- Air conditioning ticket
