Role overview
AXA Partners is hiring an Operations Administrator in Athlone, Ireland to support a busy, international operations function. This is a 12-month maternity cover position. The role sits at the heart of day-to-day activity, helping keep services organised, responsive, and aligned with client expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and logistical assistance to the Head of Operations and the wider team, serving as a key contact internally and externally.
- Support customers and partners who need emergency vehicle or home assistance, coordinating with approved suppliers and contractors in Ireland, the UK, and other locations.
- Oversee facilities-related tasks such as building security, office maintenance, and compliance with health and safety obligations.
- Manage supplier-related activity by making sure operators are paid on time, processing invoices, and resolving unusual queries quickly.
- Help the Operations team with call handling, administrative work, and the movement of incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Monitor windscreen claim queues, produce weekly activity reports, and keep the windscreen inbox organised.
- Stay on top of learning and development requirements and work in line with regulatory standards and customer-focused practices.

The ideal candidate will have a solid customer service background, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a professional phone manner. You should be able to take initiative, handle difficult situations diplomatically, and stay calm when dealing with pressure or deadlines. Good organisation, time management, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset are important. Strong keyboard ability and prior operational experience are essential.
Experience in insurance assistance or a call centre setting, together with a good working knowledge of common software tools, would be beneficial.
