Paid Consultant - Learning Impact, Effectiveness & ROI Analysis

Overview

This is a short, paid consulting assignment for professionals with deep experience in learning measurement, L&D analytics, programme evaluation, or related talent analytics work. The engagement is a one-off, project-based interview for an AI marketplace initiative and does not represent a permanent or full-time position.

The work is remote and limited to U.S.-based experts. No advance preparation is needed; the expectation is that you speak from your own hands-on experience.

Engagement Details

You will take part in an AI-led video interview lasting about 30 minutes and will be recorded. The session is designed to capture how you actually perform the work in practice, including the decisions you make and the reasoning behind them.

Estimated compensation is $120 per hour, prorated for the half-hour interview.

Focus Areas

• Creating learning evaluation plans, defining success criteria, and building measurement approaches before launch
• Collecting and interpreting data from LMS platforms, assessments, surveys, performance data, and business outcomes
• Linking learning activity to behavior change or business impact while accounting for confounding variables and limitations in attribution
• Sharing results with sponsors and leaders and recommending whether a programme should be fixed, continued, discontinued, or redesigned

You are expected to explain, step by step, your workflow in learning evaluation design, measurement planning, outcome analysis, reporting, and effectiveness decision-making.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should be able to walk through these processes confidently from personal experience and respond to follow-up questions with specific examples, depth, and clarity.

• At least 7 years of experience in learning measurement, L&D analytics, programme evaluation, talent analytics, or learning effectiveness consulting
• Direct, practical experience across evaluation design, measurement planning, outcome analysis, reporting, and decision workflows
• Exposure to measurement model selection, success criteria, data source selection, attribution constraints, ROI framing, and decisions about whether a programme should continue
• Comfort using tools such as Qualtrics, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Workday Learning, Cornerstone, Degreed, LinkedIn Learning, SQL, and LMS reporting tools
• Strong communication skills for explaining methods, decisions, and reasoning clearly
• Experience personally owning or executing these workflows in a live business environment
• Experience collaborating with HR, legal, payroll, finance, HRIS, business leaders, people managers, or compensation committee stakeholders where relevant

How the Interview Works

The interview is structured to draw out detailed, practical explanations of real processes and decisions rather than broad summaries. After completion, your video recording and transcript, together with AI-generated insights, will be shared with the internal research team and AI lab partner.

The information will be used to build a structured task list for the profession and to improve AI models.

Additional Information

This is a project-based engagement. Selected participants will be paid for the recorded interview. The hourly rate shown is an estimate based on the expected time commitment.

You will manage your own schedule, use your own equipment to complete the interview, and remain free to take part in other opportunities at the same time.
