Private Equity Associate

About the Role

Camden Recruitment Partners is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join a prominent European private equity investor in Dublin. This role offers a comprehensive experience across the entire investment lifecycle, from initial evaluation and execution to actively supporting the growth, mergers and acquisitions, and value enhancement of portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of potential investment opportunities by performing detailed market, industry, and commercial analyses.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, perform valuations, and conduct in-depth investment analyses.
• Actively participate in deal execution, including managing due diligence processes, negotiating terms, and structuring transactions.
• Collaborate closely with the management teams of portfolio companies to foster growth and implement strategic objectives.
• Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets for the existing portfolio.
• Provide support for value creation initiatives, M&A activities, and the eventual exit strategies of investments.

Key Requirements

• Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services, strategy consulting, or corporate development.
• Demonstrate robust capabilities in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and analytical problem-solving.
• Hold an excellent academic record.
• Exhibit strong commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Be proactive, intellectually curious, and capable of taking initiative and ownership.
• Show a genuine passion for business, investing, and driving value creation.
• Prior industry-specific or operational experience would be considered a significant advantage.
