Role Overview
The Project Coordinator II is responsible for organizing, tracking, and carrying out project plans from start to finish. The role supports the Project Manager in delivering strong project outcomes efficiently, with a focus on resource coordination, profitability, and high-quality execution. In some cases, the person in this position may also be assigned smaller projects to lead, depending on management discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Go to client locations to assess site conditions and gather requirements for system design and installation.
- Partner with the Project Management team to build and maintain schedules, resource plans, procurement activities, commissioning work, and risk-reduction strategies while keeping costs under control and productivity high.
- Support the gathering, tracking, and organization of technical records such as shop drawings and as-built documents, and assemble closeout packages.
- Handle written and verbal project communication clearly and consistently.
- Help maintain strong client relationships and address concerns quickly.
- Take part in site visits and client walk-throughs.
- Support delivery standards that ensure an excellent client experience.
- Carry out additional duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Between 1 and 3 years of prior experience in project coordination or project management is required.
- Experience collecting and managing technical documentation is required.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and project management software, is required.
- Ability to work independently, manage time well, and handle several deadlines at once is necessary.
- About 30% night-shift work is part of the role.
Preferred Background
- Post-secondary training in an engineering technology program, such as controls and instrumentation, electronics, or electrical studies, is an advantage.
- Experience in the construction or security industry is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with D365 is also an asset.
Physical Demands
- The role requires the ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing, including seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly.
- Occasional reaching, lifting light office items, and using office equipment may be needed.
Work Environment
- The workplace is described as clean, organized, well lit, and well ventilated.
- Noise levels are generally low to moderate.
