Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

This position is for a Quantity Surveyor responsible for managing cost control and commercial tracking for civil construction projects. The work spans civil buildings, prefabricated structures, factories, and installations that include advanced automation equipment.

Key Duties

• Build and maintain bills of quantities, cost projections, and consumption tracking to keep projects aligned with approved budgets and contract terms.
• Track project spending continuously and compare actual costs against the original BOQ.
• Carry out monthly site measurements for work in progress and use them to support interim billing submissions.
• Compile monthly project finance updates for senior leadership.
• Prepare tender documents, review vendor and subcontractor responses, and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Cross-check subcontractor invoices with the physical work completed before payment clearance.
• Assess scope changes, price variations, and negotiate compensation for extra work outside the original scope.

Experience Needed

The role requires strong practical knowledge of quantity surveying in construction environments, especially for civil buildings, prefab structures, factories, and automation-heavy projects.
