Security Officer

Role overview

As a Security Officer at W Hotels in Doha, you will support loss prevention and guest safety across the property. The position is full-time and based onsite in West Bay, Zone 61, Doha, Qatar. This is a non-management role within the Loss Prevention & Security function.

Key responsibilities

Your day-to-day work will focus on protecting guests, associates, and hotel assets while keeping operations smooth and professional.

• Patrol the property and support guest access to rooms when needed.
• Keep an eye on CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire/life-safety systems.
• Secure entrances when circumstances require it.
• Carry out daily checks for physical hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid or CPR when appropriate, and contact emergency medical services.
• Support guests and employees during emergencies and incidents.
• Inform the right people when accidents, assaults, or other security events occur.
• De-escalate disturbances involving guests or employees and request outside help when necessary.
• Prepare incident reports and shift summaries to document security-related events and daily activities.
• Handle interruptions and complaints while protecting the flow of hotel operations.
• Remove unauthorized individuals from the property in a calm and orderly manner.
• Attend vehicle accident or theft scenes and call for assistance using the correct code responses.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security, loss prevention, and property records, sharing information only with authorized people.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties when required.

• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, and moving through confined, elevated, uneven, or slippery areas.
• Use computers and point-of-sale systems to access and enter work-related information.
• Complete other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Education and experience

• A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred.
• No prior related work experience is required.
• No supervisory background is needed.
• No license or certification is listed as mandatory, though some states may require additional registration or licensing for this role.
