Server (Outside Catering)

Role overview

This position is part of a banquet and outside-catering environment where the focus is on creating a polished, memorable guest experience rather than simply delivering food and drinks. The role involves supporting event service end-to-end, from setup to wrap-up, while making each interaction feel seamless and intentional.

What you will do

• Support event functions across the full service cycle, including preparation, execution, and closing activities.
• Set up service areas and later dismantle them after the event is completed.
• Move supplies and equipment as needed to keep the operation running smoothly.
• Take guest orders and deliver service in a professional, attentive manner.
• Engage with guests throughout the event to help create a memorable experience.
• Handle routine service tasks and respond to reasonable work requests as assigned.

Work expectations

The role requires strong attention to safety, consistent adherence to company policies and procedures, and a professional standard of appearance, communication, and quality. The job is physically active and involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, along with regular lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Previous related work experience of less than 1 year is expected. No supervisory experience is required, and no license or certification is needed.
