Workforce Planning Forecaster

Role overview

Woolworths Group is seeking a Forecasting Specialist to strengthen a core part of the RT3 workforce planning platform. In this role, you will make sure the data behind labour forecasting is reliable and help improve forecasting methods so outputs remain accurate and consistent.

The position is based at the Favona Road support office in Auckland and follows a hybrid working approach, combining office or hub time with work from home.

What you will do

• Support and enhance an important component of the RT3 workforce planning tool.
• Turn workforce and productivity data into practical insights for Store and Above Store teams.
• Check and maintain the quality of data used in labour forecasting.
• Investigate complex data sets, including data extraction, validation, and trend analysis.
• Apply statistical techniques to interpret information and produce business reporting.
• Build and maintain data models that help resolve forecasting issues.
• Carry out advanced analysis and manipulation of POS and carton data.
• Create clear data visualisations to support stakeholder discussions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand trends and shape action plans.
• Partner with key teams across the business as a trusted source of support, guidance, and expertise.

• Strong analytical ability, together with solid knowledge of data management.
• Experience working in a project setting, ideally with agile practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
• Commercial awareness and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work with complex data and turn it into useful, data-led insights.
