About the Role

This position plays a key support role within the Canadian procurement function, helping with analysis, process control, and day-to-day coordination for assigned stakeholders. The analyst will handle routine and on-demand support, with a strong focus on procurement operations, while also assisting project management and distribution teams when needed. By analyzing food cost data and maintaining accurate systems, including pricing information, this role helps category managers reduce cost of goods while protecting quality and service levels for restaurants across Canada.

The company values an open, flexible, and inclusive culture and is looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, and motivated to make a meaningful impact. Success in this position depends on strong business judgment, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused approach in both internal and external relationships.

The procurement structure operates through a supply chain cooperative that sources and contracts the goods and services needed for restaurant operations across North America. The Canadian team reports into the U.S. cooperative structure and is treated as Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada employees leased to the U.S. cooperative.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead for master data administration, pricing file entry, and maintaining data accuracy.

  • Support purchasing activities and operational procedures through analysis and coordination.
  • Make sure confidential contract information is communicated on time, including NDAs and the scope of agreements for products and services.

  • Provide analytical, process, and organizational support to assigned stakeholders.
  • Help with monthly or ad hoc cost planning and forecasting for food, paper, equipment, and services.
  • Support supply assurance work by maintaining strategic supplier information, key contacts, and contingency or transition plans.
  • Track new, existing, promotional, and depleting inventory within assigned categories.
  • Contribute to supplier relations planning and execution.
  • Research the Canadian domestic supply landscape and stay informed on category-specific and procurement best practices through industry events, supplier meetings, and business reviews.
  • Take on other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, with procurement or category management experience preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A master’s degree in supply chain or a related discipline is an added advantage.
