Role overview

The Kindergartens is hiring 2 Apprentices to work across its Crescent II (SW17) and Mouse House settings (SW18 and SW11). This opportunity is aimed at people who have experience in early years or nursery environments, such as an Early Years Teacher, Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Teacher, Apprentice Educator, Nursery Educator, or Nursery Assistant.

Role focus

• Deliver attentive care and age-appropriate learning support for children aged 1 to 3.
• Create, prepare, and run activities aligned to EYFS that are engaging, stimulating, and suitable for the age group.
• Maintain a secure, supportive, and nurturing atmosphere where children can learn and develop.

Skills and experience required

This role is suitable for someone with prior nursery or childcare experience. The ideal candidate should be patient, empathetic, and genuinely enthusiastic about working with children. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as is the ability to work well as part of a team. First Aid certification is preferred, and familiarity with childcare regulations, including safeguarding, is an advantage.

Salary and benefits

The salary is £26,436.80 per year for Level Unqualified Practitioners.
