Role Overview
Envision Horizons is hiring an Associate Creative Director to serve as both a hands-on creative leader and a coach. This position combines creative direction, quality control, team development, and operational support for a defined set of brands.
The Associate Creative Director works closely with the Creative Director to help guide the department while independently leading creative direction for selected accounts, including important and Signature/Premiere brands across retail marketplaces. The main focus is Amazon, with additional work across Walmart and Target. The role supports the conversion of department vision and standards into practical day-to-day output, helping maintain consistency, scalability, and high-quality creative across the team.
Creative Leadership and Strategy
Lead creative direction and output for a portfolio of marketplace brands, making sure the work aligns with Envision Horizons’ standards for performance, brand consistency, and quality.
Use knowledge of marketplace behavior such as conversion, click-through rates, and algorithmic visibility to guide creative decisions for Strategists and Designers.
Review most deliverables and approve them, escalating only work that is especially sensitive or highly visible.
Combine direct execution with scalable creative systems and broader standards across accounts.
Work with the Creative Director to maintain department-wide creative standards and ensure the output reflects the larger vision for the team.
Marketplace Expertise
Adapt marketplace best practices into effective creative for Amazon assets such as PDPs, A+ Content, Brand Stores, and Sponsored Ads, as well as for Walmart and Target environments.
Support concept development that prioritizes conversion within retail channels while balancing brand narrative with performance-led design.
Collaborate with Media and Strategy teams so creative aligns with keyword planning, search intent, and retail media placements.
Keep up with changing marketplace trends, content formats, and platform requirements, then incorporate those updates into team processes and deliverables.
Team Leadership and Coaching
Directly manage a pod of Creative Strategists and Designers.
Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development support.
Run team routines such as one-on-ones, workload check-ins, and creative reviews that strengthen both execution and strategic thinking.
Encourage accountability, ownership, and ongoing improvement within the team.
Act as an extension of the Creative Director by reinforcing expectations, supporting talent growth, and helping expand creative excellence across the department.
Creative Operations and Process
Oversee workflow, intake quality, and creative production across multiple brands and initiatives.
Ensure consistent use of department standards, including QA tiers, templates, and frameworks.
Contribute to resourcing decisions such as project allocation and hiring priorities.
Improve efficiency and scalability through structured systems thinking and process refinement.
Partner with the Creative Director to strengthen workflows, improve operational consistency, and identify opportunities to enhance systems across the department.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Account Directors and Media leadership to align creative execution with account strategy, retail objectives, and performance KPIs.
Serve as a stakeholder in planning and delivering high-impact marketplace initiatives.
Escalate recurring challenges and help drive department-level improvements with the Creative Director.
Bridge communication between creative teams and leadership so strategic priorities are clearly executed across accounts and projects.

Success in this role means creating high-performing, conversion-focused creative for Amazon, Walmart, and Target; consistently delivering on time and meeting milestone targets; helping direct reports grow and stay engaged; maintaining strong process discipline; and improving overall team output through stronger critiques and leadership.
What You Bring
You should have strong experience in a senior creative position such as Senior Creative Strategist, Art Director, or a similar role, ideally in eCommerce or a marketplace-focused setting.
A strong portfolio showing performance-driven creative work, especially for Amazon or other retail marketplaces, is important.
You need a deep understanding of marketplace ecosystems, including conversion optimization, retail media, and content structures.
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing creative teams is required.
The role also calls for the ability to balance hands-on creative work with leadership and operational duties, along with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and a systems-oriented mindset focused on quality and efficiency.

Compensation
