Business Intelligence Developer

Role overview

GRIT is hiring a Business Intelligence Developer for a 6-month contract to support the Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) team in Singapore. The main focus of this role is to help move BI assets after the data platform shifts from Netezza to Snowflake.

In this position, you will rebuild, refine, and tune dashboards, reports, and visualizations so they continue to work accurately and efficiently in the new cloud setup. You will partner with Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, and Digital Analytics teams to keep decision-making supported by reliable reporting.

Core responsibilities

• Move existing dashboards, reports, and visual assets from older Netezza-based BI tools into Snowflake-based environments.
• Adjust and optimize the underlying data sources, queries, and extracts so they fit Snowflake’s architecture.
• Rework dashboards and reports to improve speed, usability, and overall performance.
• Check migrated dashboards thoroughly to confirm data accuracy, consistent calculations, and intact visuals.
• Create migration notes and refreshed data dictionaries for BI assets.
• Run knowledge-sharing and user training sessions for business stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional partners to rank key reports and reduce disruption to the business during migration.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline is needed; a master’s degree is preferred.
• About 3 to 5 years of experience in BI development or a closely related role.
• Strong command of dashboard design, visualization standards, and reporting best practices.
• Prior involvement in BI migration work, particularly from on-premises systems to cloud platforms.
• Advanced SQL capability for complex querying, query tuning, and data checks.
• Practical experience with Snowflake and cloud ecosystems such as AWS.
• Very strong Tableau skills, including Desktop, Server, and Prep.
• Good working knowledge of Power BI, including Desktop, Service, Dataflows, DAX, and Power Query.
• Solid understanding of data models, including star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.
• Experience using Python or R for analysis or automation tasks.
• Awareness of data governance, security, row-level access, and Git-based version control.
• Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and stakeholder management.
• Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a busy, fast-moving environment.

This is a 6-month contract role based onsite in Singapore. The role sits within the CLM team and is centered on ensuring a smooth BI transition from Netezza to Snowflake while maintaining continuity for business reporting.
