Role overview

We are looking for an energetic and service-minded finance professional to join the team in a hotel environment. This position focuses on supporting day-to-day finance operations, keeping accounting records accurate, and helping maintain strong internal controls in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Check the General Cashier’s report, income journal voucher, supplier invoices, and the expense account coding in the general ledger.
  • Review supplier payments against the relevant invoices, purchase orders, and other supporting documents, along with employee expense claims.
  • Examine payroll reports and the supporting paperwork at month-end.
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations and track the renewal of contracts nearing expiry.
  • Create, post, and update standard and adjustment journal vouchers at month-end.
  • Review the general ledger at month-end and study expenses as well as significant deviations from budget.
  • Make sure accounting reports are completed and that deadlines for other team members are met.

Education and experience

A degree in hotel management or accounting is required, along with at least 2 years of prior experience in a hotel setting. Strong spoken and written English, plus good computer skills, are essential. Familiarity with Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN systems would be an added advantage.
