About The Role
Our Contracts Managers are crucial in ensuring project delivery assurance for our clients during the procurement and construction phases. This role involves supporting clients in engaging and managing physical works contractors. You will coordinate and support the delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk. Your responsibilities will include undertaking site inspections, field investigations, feasibility assessments, and constructability reviews. You will also prepare and review project documentation, including cost estimates, tender documents, contract administration records, and project reports. Assisting with tender evaluations and providing support during procurement and construction phases are key aspects of this role. You will monitor project financial performance, track, forecast, and report on construction activities. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and internal teams through effective communication is essential. You will identify and help resolve technical and project delivery issues collaboratively. Furthermore, you will support and share knowledge with junior team members, ensure project meetings, actions, records, and documentation are maintained according to requirements, and deliver work in accordance with company quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, while proactively managing project risks. Other duties as reasonably required will also be part of your role.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a professional with a relevant technical tertiary qualification and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, including familiarity with NZS39XX contracts. Strong skills in cost estimating, tender preparation, and report writing are essential. You should possess clear and consistent communication abilities to build trust and support peers and clients. Experience in the coordination and management of sub-contractors, site supervisors, and suppliers is also required.

At Stantec, we are committed to your growth and fulfillment. We offer a range of supportive benefits, including:
