Role overview
The Regional Dispatch Coordinator I is part of a regional execution team focused on delivering reliable scheduling, loading support, and inventory management for Mansfield’s full truckload (FTL) deliveries. The position helps keep customer-managed tanks at appropriate fuel levels, plans deliveries in the most efficient way possible, and supports the company’s supply and carrier-loading activities while aligning with broader business strategy.
A hybrid schedule becomes available after training is finished: 3 days onsite and 2 days working remotely.
Inventory management
- Track assigned customers’ tank readings on an ongoing basis.
- Plan delivery timing using current fuel levels and average daily consumption.
- Watch market trends and shift delivery timing when needed to support customer needs and improve purchasing opportunities.
- Record any customer-specific inventory instructions or requests.
Logistics coordination
- Arrange, coordinate, and oversee FTL freight movement from terminal groups to customer sites.
- Develop productive carrier relationships to support more efficient and profitable freight coordination.
- Apply terminal sourcing changes in response to arbitrage opportunities.
- Work independently and make timely decisions within established guidelines.
- If a carrier rejects an order or cannot meet the delivery needs, secure an alternate option so the customer’s requirements are still met.
- Help resolve retention-related issues quickly.
- Complete load confirmations every day without exception.
- Complete delivery confirmations every day without exception.
Supply execution support
- Handle carrier calls and emails professionally and efficiently while giving loading guidance based on set criteria and thresholds.
- Carry out supply plans generated by optimization tools and market conditions.
- Coordinate with Supply to maintain contract compliance.
- Review and correct carrier lifting accuracy.
Additional duties
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Position requirements
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in dispatching or supply chain is preferred. Petroleum industry experience is also preferred.
Tools and skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is expected.
Work style and abilities: The role calls for the ability to multitask, make financially significant decisions in a fast-moving setting, adapt to constant change, shift quickly between urgent tasks, and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
Work environment
