Founding Designer

Role overview

As the first designer on the team, you will partner closely with the founders to define how software is created in the AI era. Your work will cover the main product journey, including AI-driven creation flows, editing experiences, onboarding, growth, brand expression, and related product touchpoints.

The company is developing a platform that helps entrepreneurs, operators, and non-technical people turn ideas into working products without needing traditional development skills. The broader mission goes beyond app-building: the belief is that AI will reshape how people solve problems, automate tasks, and build businesses, and design will be central to making that experience clear, approachable, and effective.

The expectation is that users feel capable, supported, and in control. You will help establish what strong AI-native product design should look like and set the quality benchmark for the entire experience.

What you will do

• Speak with users directly to understand their objectives, pain points, and moments of success, then turn those learnings into polished product experiences.
• Lead design across end-to-end product journeys, covering AI interactions, creation flows, editing tools, onboarding, publishing, templates, and workspace management.
• Create new interaction patterns for AI-assisted work, helping users guide, refine, troubleshoot, automate, and interpret AI-generated outputs.
• Maintain a consistently high standard for visual design, usability, and overall product quality.
• Build prototypes and ship work actively; the role expects hands-on experimentation and direct contribution to product development, not just design handoff.
• Contribute to the company’s brand direction, website, product marketing assets, launch materials, and broader narrative as a new category is formed.
• Work closely with the founders and engineering team to shape product strategy, roadmap choices, and the long-term vision.

• Demonstrated experience designing and launching strong software products from early concept through release.
• Excellent UX judgment with the ability to simplify complex flows and make advanced technology feel easy to use.
• Strong visual design capability, with careful attention to typography, hierarchy, interaction design, and refinement.
• Comfort using AI tools to prototype, iterate, and bring ideas into usable form quickly.
• Ability to work well in ambiguity and convert loosely defined problems into thoughtful, user-centered solutions.
• A balance of speed and rigor, with good judgment around when fast execution is valuable and when detail matters most.
• Strong sense of ownership and interest in helping build a company from an early stage.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-native product design and curiosity for inventing new interaction models beyond conventional SaaS patterns.
