Role overview
We are seeking a well-organised and proactive HR Administrator to support the People team in a fast-moving, high-performance setting at Silverstone. This role offers the chance to assist across the entire employee journey while helping to build a workplace culture centred on quality, teamwork and ongoing improvement.
Working alongside the wider HR Operations group, you will help deliver HR administration that is efficient, accurate and professional across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver daily HR administration support across the full employee lifecycle, providing a reliable and timely service to staff and managers.
- Handle onboarding tasks such as preparing starter packs, induction documents, reference requests and employee paperwork.
- Carry out Right to Work checks in line with internal procedures and raise any concerns when needed.
- Manage DBS application processing, monitor progress and keep outcome records accurate and up to date.
- Update and maintain employee information in HR systems including HiBob, Pinpoint, IFS and Occupational Health platforms.
- Assist with payroll administration by making sure employee data is correct and submitted by the required deadlines.
- Monitor the HR shared inbox, respond to routine queries and pass on more complex issues where appropriate.
- Prepare standard HR documents such as employment confirmation letters and contractual paperwork.
- Support employee engagement activities including long-service recognition, maternity gifts and broader People team initiatives.
- Ensure all HR administration is completed accurately, discreetly and in line with GDPR and company policies.
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Experience in administration, ideally gained within HR or a busy office environment.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage several deadlines at once.
- Excellent accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Clear, professional and approachable communication skills.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Good IT capability, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Collaborative mindset with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Interest in HR and eagerness to learn processes and systems.
- CIPD Level 3 is desirable, whether currently working toward it or already achieved.
