Role Overview
Information Tech Consultants is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join its London team in an on-site, full-time position. The selected candidate is expected to begin on 30 June 2026.
Compensation
The annual salary for this position is £35,000 to £45,000.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare, clean, reshape, and examine sizeable datasets to uncover meaningful trends and recurring patterns.
- Support the creation and evaluation of machine learning models such as regression and classification solutions using Python.
- Develop and improve SQL queries to pull data from multiple relational database sources.
- Build easy-to-understand dashboards and visual reports with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib for business stakeholders.
- Work alongside engineering and product teams to clarify data requirements and maintain reliable data quality.
- Keep current with emerging developments in data science and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing activities.
Required Technical Background
Applicants should have solid Python programming ability along with familiarity with machine learning and AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Keras. Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data pipelines, is also expected. Exposure to big data tools including Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka will be valuable.
Education and Profile
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT is required. A Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline is preferred, although equivalent bootcamp experience may also be considered. Candidates should be open to relocation within the UK, and immediate availability is strongly preferred.
