Role overview
Kilsaran is hiring Operatives for its Paving Production Plant in Piercetown, Dunboyne, County Meath. This is a hands-on manufacturing role within Ireland’s leading independent producer of concrete and bituminous construction materials.
The position involves rotating shift work, with scheduled hours of 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a visible example in promoting safe working practices and follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, systems, and rules.
- Identify and report any hazards or incidents, and maintain safe work practices at all times.
- Work to quality control requirements so that output consistently meets the required standards.
- Run automated production equipment and support day-to-day plant operations.
- Track and manage parts of the production flow to keep the process running smoothly.
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping around the plant.
- Operate forklifts and grab trucks; full training will be provided.
- Make sure products are labelled accurately.
- Place finished goods into stock bays.
- Load customer orders into the designated picking area and onto trucks.
- Be willing to step in and support loading shovel duties as part of future development.
- Take on other reasonable duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Experience and qualifications
Experience working in production or with automated equipment is an advantage. Prior experience or qualifications with mobile plant equipment are also desirable.
