Network Engineer

Role overview

This position is for a Network Engineer within the Network Team at Senior Associate level in Bengaluru. The role supports both internal PwC teams and external clients across global locations, with a focus on enterprise networking, infrastructure stability, and secure operations.

What you will do

• Support diverse teams serving internal and external stakeholders across multiple geographies.
• Install, configure, and maintain routing, switching, and security infrastructure using platforms such as Cisco and Palo Alto.
• Provide L3/L4 support for enterprise networks spanning multiple data centers, global operations, and WAN connectivity.
• Plan, implement, monitor, and maintain network environments that include routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN, and cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software, hardware, and broader network issues, including problems in high-availability environments.
• Monitor overall network health and take corrective action when performance falls below expected levels.
• Troubleshoot issues across application servers, databases, network and firewall layers, as well as end-user connectivity.
• Work with Cisco Call Manager and handle basic operational and maintenance activities.
• Assess, define, and implement network design or configuration changes as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party providers to ensure service delivery meets agreed SLAs.
• Provide technical direction and align efforts with onsite and offshore teams.
• Stay current with developments in networking, cloud services, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with solution, application, and data architects to support evolving infrastructure needs.
• Help maintain uptime, stability, and dependable access to applications and platforms through monitoring and review processes.
• Manage escalations for major technical service incidents and support resolution with the appropriate teams.
• Communicate planned infrastructure work to stakeholders in advance.
• Perform security monitoring, review logs, and collect performance data for ongoing improvement.
• Contribute to automation efforts that streamline infrastructure processes and improve reliability.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of experience in implementing and managing enterprise network environments.
• Strong background in routing, switching, firewall technologies, and network security.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto-based infrastructure.
• Practical knowledge of high-availability systems, WAN connectivity, and multi-data-center operations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure.
• Working understanding of Cisco Call Manager and related operations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external service providers.
• Experience leading or working with teams of 10+ members across Pan India locations is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and detail-oriented working style.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Graduate in Science, preferably with a computer science background.
