Role Overview
This Project Planner role is suited to a professional with 8 to 9 years of experience in improving schedules, coordinating resources, and strengthening team productivity. The position supports complex engineering work by applying strong analytical and planning abilities to keep projects aligned with demanding deadlines and budget expectations.
The planner will analyze schedules, assess on-time delivery performance, and develop practical mitigation actions to help ensure project goals are met on time. The job also involves working closely with the project team to prepare proposal and execution schedules, refine timelines to match contract dates, produce periodic look-ahead reports, and update schedules based on team feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain project plans, schedules, and milestones.
Track subcontractor and vendor schedules, follow up on progress, and assess work performance.
Use Primavera version 25 confidently, along with MS Office tools, to prepare management reports and presentations.
Develop integrated schedules in line with best practices, internal quality checks, and error-free schedule logs.
Support all project planning, scheduling, and progress-tracking activities, including information flow, package deliveries, and site work using formal project management methods.
Review project scope, design schedules that fit project needs, update plans as regional teams require, and support resource and cost loading while flagging critical progress issues.
Apply strong knowledge of project progress reporting methods such as S-Curves, earned value, critical path, and look-ahead tracking.
Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly project reports.
Coordinate with internal and external clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on schedule-related matters and oversee validation of project packages in Primavera.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a solid understanding of project management, PMO practices, and industry standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
8 to 9 years of experience in the Oil and Gas EPC sector.
Hands-on expertise in Primavera P6.
Working knowledge of MS Projects.
Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.

This role is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India and is an on-site full-time position.
