The work goes beyond conventional writing and combines technical depth, systems thinking, and collaboration across functions. Your contribution will help make complex software easier to understand and use for developers, end users, and internal teams. You will also help define documentation standards, improve consistency across products and systems, and take part in open-source documentation practices and broader best-practice development.

Key accountabilities

• Develop, update, and refine clear technical documentation for software products, internal platforms, or business workflows, depending on the assigned team.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders so documentation stays aligned with how the system actually works and what users need.
• Turn complex technical ideas into organized, easy-to-follow content for different audiences.
• Help define and improve documentation style rules, standards, and best practices across teams and products.
• Interact with users and communities to learn how documentation is used in practice and where it can be improved.
• Encourage engineers and other cross-functional contributors to participate in documentation work.
• Support the evolution of documentation methods, including structured approaches such as Diátaxis.
• Contribute to strengthening documentation as an essential discipline in both product development and organizational communication.

Required background

• Proven experience in technical writing, software documentation, or a related engineering-facing role focused on strong communication.
• A software development background or solid exposure to engineering tools, environments, and workflows.
• Capability to understand complicated technical systems and explain them in a logical, structured way.
• Excellent writing ability with a strong focus on clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Experience working with engineers, product teams, or open-source communities.
• Comfort with tools and workflows such as Linux, Git, command-line interfaces, or documentation systems like Sphinx and reStructuredText.
• Strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn new systems and domains.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in distributed, fast-moving environments.
• Additional advantage: experience with open-source work, UX writing, or technical community leadership.
