Technical Recruiter

The Role

As a Technology Recruiter, you will be instrumental in candidate delivery, focusing on identifying and engaging top-tier AI and machine learning professionals within the US market. You will operate on South African working hours, synchronized with US Eastern Time (roughly 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM SAST), and will oversee the entire candidate lifecycle from initial sourcing to the first interview. This role involves close collaboration with a client team based in New York.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively source and engage high-caliber AI and ML talent across the US market utilizing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM platforms, and direct outreach methods.
• Conduct thorough interviews to evaluate candidates' technical skills, suitability for the market, and alignment with specific roles.
• Develop and maintain candidate pipelines, ensuring consistent and effective communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Identify and present qualified candidates for active job openings to account managers.
• Revitalize and expand existing talent pools while continuously building new candidate pipelines.
• Participate in client briefing sessions and leverage AI tools, transcripts, and LLM technologies to refine sourcing strategies.
• Contribute innovative ideas and strategies to enhance candidate engagement and optimize recruitment workflows.

About You

We are seeking candidates who possess:

• Demonstrated experience in a comprehensive or delivery-focused recruitment role, preferably within the technology, AI, data, or engineering sectors.
• Prior experience recruiting for the US market, including a solid understanding of its unique dynamics and hiring norms.
• Proficiency in sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment technologies; familiarity with AI-powered sourcing tools is a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, enabling confident engagement with senior technical professionals.
• A self-driven and proactive work ethic, coupled with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• The ability to work US-aligned hours from South Africa (approximately 12 PM to 9 PM SAST).
• A keen commercial awareness and the drive to build a successful recruitment desk and maximize earning potential.
