Role Summary

The ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Test Driver is responsible for assessing vehicle safety and automation capabilities. This position involves driving and evaluating ADAS features, capturing relevant data, and sharing feedback on system performance.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and test vehicles fitted with ADAS technology across planned and unplanned routes in varying environmental conditions.
• Observe and assess the performance of functions such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and other automated driving systems.
• Carry out both manual and autonomous driving tests while adhering to safety guidelines and testing procedures.
• Record test results, flag unusual behavior, and share detailed observations with engineering and development teams.
• Prepare accurate and timely test documentation that reflects observations and system behavior.
• Be available for flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
• Maintain strong safety awareness both inside the vehicle and in the surrounding work environment.

Required Skills

• Comfort using a laptop and common office tools such as Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
• Experience operating handheld devices and touchscreen smartphones.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate observations clearly and concisely.
• Capability to follow test procedures and coordinate effectively with engineering teams.

Physical Requirements

• May involve occasional standing, walking, and extended periods of sitting.
• Ability to use hands to operate devices, handle controls, and communicate effectively.
• May require climbing stairs or ladders when needed.
• Occasional reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 45 pounds.
• Strong vision is essential, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
• Most work takes place outdoors in a vehicle.
