Role overview
Wellington Water is looking for an Analyst focused on asset data quality to help strengthen the organisation’s infrastructure-related datasets. In this role, you will work across the asset lifecycle to ingest, maintain, assess and improve data so that reliable information is available to teams who depend on it every day.
You will also work with drawings and other asset records, helping ensure the information held about assets is accurate, usable and continuously improved.
What you will do
- Help improve infrastructure asset datasets through ongoing data quality work.
- Clean up and correct records to raise the standard of asset data.
- Support the ingestion, maintenance and analysis of a range of data types handled by the wider Data Quality team.
- Review asset data and historical records to identify issues and recommend remediation actions.
- Assist the organisation in adopting better standards, policies, guidance and processes for data improvement.
- Manage drawings and related asset information to support day-to-day operational needs.
Working arrangement
This is a permanent full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The role is based in Petone and offers flexible working options, including up to 2 days working from home.
Pay
The salary range for this position is NZD 80,369 to NZD 113,462 per year, inclusive of KiwiSaver, and will depend on your skills and experience.
About you
You should have excellent attention to detail and a genuine willingness to keep learning new tools, systems and techniques. Success in this role will come from a mix of relevant qualifications or equivalent experience, hands-on data management capability, and the confidence to work collaboratively across teams.
About Wellington Water
Wellington Water provides water services across Greater Wellington and South Wairarapa. The organisation is responsible for drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services, and works as a multi-council owned entity to support communities across the region. From 1 July 2026, Tiaki Wai will assume responsibility for Three Waters Services for around 433,000 residents in the Wellington metro area, and Wellington Water employees will transition to that new council-owned entity.
