Business Analyst

Role overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join the team on a full-time basis in Australia. This position is suited to professionals at entry or mid level who enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and using data to shape better business decisions. The role focuses on partnering with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, streamline operations, and support growth through practical, data-backed recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, review, and record business requirements from stakeholders and end users.
• Assess current workflows and business operations to identify where efficiency can be improved.
• Convert business needs into functional specifications and user stories for technical teams.
• Work with teams across product, technology, operations, and management to help deliver projects successfully.
• Analyze data and prepare reports that inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Track project status and help ensure solutions align with business goals and requirements.
• Run meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to gather input and maintain alignment.
• Develop business process documents, workflow diagrams, and other project-related documentation.
• Assist with user acceptance testing and support effective rollout of implemented solutions.
• Keep up to date with business analysis trends, industry practices, and new technologies.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations well.
• Capability to gather, interpret, and document requirements accurately.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar analytical tools is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of business processes, project management, and system implementation approaches.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methods is an added advantage.
• Ability to function both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
• Prior exposure to business analysis, project coordination, operations, or a related field is preferred.
