About GitGuardian
GitGuardian is a cybersecurity scale-up that has moved beyond its Series C round and now operates with teams across France, Europe, and the United States. Backed early by well-known investors including GitHub co-founder Scott Chacon and Docker co-founder Solomon Hykes, the company is focused on Non-Human Identity security. Its platform covers secrets detection in code, productivity tools and environments, remediation, observability, and proactive leak prevention. More than 600,000 developers worldwide already use its solutions.
Role overview
Joining an 8-person Business Development Representative team split between France and the USA, you will help create new opportunities, develop marketing-qualified leads, and build strong relationships with prospects. The role is intended for someone who can qualify business needs, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and support revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
You will use a mix of outbound and inbound methods to identify prospects, open conversations, and move qualified opportunities forward. Accurate CRM tracking, close coordination with sales colleagues, and regular market awareness will all be part of the job.
Working arrangement
This position can be based in Paris on a hybrid model or performed remotely from Germany. Candidates outside France will be hired through an EOR partner on a permanent contract aligned to their country.
Interview process
The hiring process includes four stages: a 30-minute video call with Talent Acquisition, a 60-minute interview with the future manager, a 60-minute business case with the future manager and an Account Executive, and a final 30-minute interview with the VP of Sales and a co-founder. The process is designed to assess communication, drive, ownership, motivation, product understanding, resilience, and your ability to perform in real scenarios.
Diversity and inclusion
GitGuardian says it is committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Applicants may be asked for their gender on the application form to support diversity tracking, but this information is optional, will not be shared with the hiring team, and will not affect hiring decisions.
Additional company highlights
GitGuardian describes its customers as organizations that need to identify exposed sensitive information that could otherwise cause major financial damage. More than 70% of its customers are in the United States, and many Fortune 500 companies use the platform. The team is made up of people from more than 20 countries and is described as knowledgeable, collaborative, remote-friendly, and given strong autonomy and transparent communication.
