Caretaker

About the role

Oxford Diocesan Bucks Schools Trust is seeking a practical, organised, and positive caretaker to support multiple schools across the trust. The assignment will begin at Cold Harbour and Great Horwood CE schools, with the possibility of being asked to assist at other trust schools when operational needs require it.

This position is important in helping maintain safe, functional, and welcoming environments where pupils and staff can learn and work effectively with the resources available.

What the role involves

The post requires someone who is dependable, flexible, and willing to support colleagues as needed. Day-to-day duties will involve a mix of manual handling and some straightforward computer-based tasks.

The role is for 32 hours per week, divided between the two sites, and may include split-shift working.

Applicants should have access to their own car, as travel between school sites is required.

There is potential for additional hours in the future, along with opportunities to develop within the trust.

Start date

The position is due to commence on 1 September 2026, or earlier if available.
