Position Details

• Role: Cybersecurity SWE — AI Safety
• Engagement type: Contract
• Work mode: Fully remote
• Weekly commitment: 15 to 40 hours
• Pay rate: $60 to $90 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Create high-quality prompts focused on advanced cybersecurity subjects.
• Review and label model outputs for correctness, usefulness, and safe treatment of sensitive material.
• Use defined rules to sort prompts and conversations into the right categories.
• Partner with AI research teams to strengthen safety and overall model quality.
• Work independently and on your own schedule while meeting deadlines and contributing to model security improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or more than 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep familiarity with cybersecurity principles and modern software architectures.
• Strong analytical thinking and clear technical writing skills in English.
• Good judgment when dealing with security topics and dual-use information responsibly.
• Preferred experience includes offensive security, penetration testing, vulnerability research, or similar specialties.
• Experience assessing, scoring, or red-teaming technical content is a plus.
