Role Overview

Cotality is looking for a delivery-oriented Data Product Manager to support the rollout, day-to-day operation, and ongoing enhancement of its Data Platforms across Australia and New Zealand. The role is central to executing the transformation roadmap, with responsibilities spanning data sourcing, ingestion, identification improvements, and lifecycle management.

This position suits someone who is highly organised, focused on delivery, and interested in property data and modern platform ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end data transformation initiatives, from source data acquisition and ingestion to the creation of verified, production-ready datasets.
• Build and keep up to date product roadmaps for identification and lifecycle capabilities, converting business needs into practical delivery plans.
• Work with data engineers and architects to shape scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines that meet standards for quality, lineage, and timeliness.
• Create and operate quality control frameworks for identification datasets, including profiling, validation checks, and resolution of data issues.
• Align with product managers, data scientists, segment leaders, and global teams to make sure data assets are useful, accessible, and aligned to business goals.
• Manage planning and delivery activities such as scoping, milestone monitoring, dependency tracking, and escalation of risks.
• Help embed new platform components into operations by producing documentation for data contracts, metadata standards, and usage guidance.
• Liaise with external data suppliers and internal data stewards to oversee sourcing arrangements and data refresh schedules.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in data product management, data management, or data transformation within a complex environment.
• Proven capability to shape and deliver roadmaps while managing scope, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
• Practical knowledge of cloud data environments and services across GCP and AWS.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Hands-on exposure to geospatial data, including coordinate systems, map projections, and tools such as ESRI ArcGIS or Carto.
• Good understanding of geocoding workflows, including address parsing, geocoding pipelines, confidence scoring, and reverse geocoding.
• Sound grasp of data quality, data lineage, and metadata management principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to achieve delivery outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Background knowledge of property data, including land titles, valuation, and address or location datasets in Australia or New Zealand.
• Exposure to Cotality products and datasets, or similar property intelligence solutions.
• Experience with entity matching and record linkage methods such as deterministic and probabilistic matching, deduplication, and survivorship rules in property data use cases.
• Ability to review code repositories such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab to understand existing data pipelines and transformations.
• Experience working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to trace data flows and integration points.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Data, Business, or a related field.
