Role overview

FVN Research is forming a focused public markets research group dedicated to disciplined investment analysis, market research, and quantitative research processes. The team’s immediate goal is to strengthen the research base through rigorous analysis, alpha-oriented thinking, backtesting, and well-structured outputs for public market ideas.

What the role involves

This position spans a mix of fundamental equity research, macro and sector analysis, quantitative signal work, backtesting, investment memos, deal-oriented insights, and research pieces that are ready for publication. The work is expected to be thoughtful, structured, and centered on clear reasoning and strong execution.

Profile they are seeking

The role is best suited to motivated students or early-career candidates, ideally with backgrounds in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or similar disciplines. Prior exposure to Python, Excel, valuation, statistics, backtesting, investment writing, or data analysis is helpful, but the most important qualities are dependability, intellectual honesty, initiative, and a genuine interest in public markets.
