Front Store Supervisor

Role overview

This position supports a community-based retail store in delivering health, beauty, and convenience services while keeping customers at the center of daily operations. The role is responsible for overseeing customer service activities, with particular attention to cash handling, cashier supervision, and merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise cashier and merchandising team members and make sure store processes and policies are followed.
• Provide training, coaching, and continuous direction to cashiers and merchandisers.
• Support loss prevention by applying required standards, monitoring cash office inventory, and maintaining cashier tracking records, tracking sheets, and PC Optimum procedures.
• Ensure staff maintain a professional appearance that matches uniform and presentation standards.
• Respond to customer questions, including product location and rainchecks.
• Handle customer concerns in line with store guidelines, including refunds and exchanges.
• Encourage participation in the CSI Survey.
• Keep shelving tidy, organized, and properly rotated.
• Set up and remove product displays as directed by the AFSM/FSM.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and an overall strong store presentation.
• Follow all health and safety rules and store procedures.
• Support clerical and banking tasks when needed.
• Apply loss prevention practices consistently throughout the store.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned, including cashier support when required.

Qualifications and job requirements

The ideal candidate should be comfortable making decisions, using judgment, and planning work independently. Strong problem-solving ability is important to ensure customer satisfaction. The role also calls for computer literacy, strong organization, efficient time management, and familiarity with products and supplies.
