Frontend Developer (Entry / Junior)

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic junior frontend developer to join a software team in Australia. This position is focused on creating polished, responsive, and easy-to-use web interfaces that provide a strong user experience.

You will partner with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to turn design concepts into production-ready interfaces. The role suits someone who enjoys modern web technologies and wants to build practical, user-centered digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update responsive websites and web applications using current frontend tools and frameworks.
• Translate design mockups and UI layouts into structured, reusable, maintainable code.
• Develop interface features with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant modern libraries or frameworks.
• Work with backend teams to connect APIs and display dynamic data.
• Improve performance, loading speed, accessibility, and browser compatibility across devices.
• Investigate, diagnose, and fix frontend bugs and interface issues.
• Take part in code reviews and contribute to strong engineering practices.
• Enhance existing applications based on feedback and changing business needs.
• Keep current with new frontend tools, techniques, and industry developments.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including ES6+ features.
• Exposure to at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Basic knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser behavior.
• Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data.
• Comfort using Git or another version control system.
• Basic familiarity with performance tuning and debugging tools for web applications.
• Good analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• A portfolio, personal projects, internship work, or GitHub repositories will be considered an advantage.
• Recent graduates with relevant academic or practical project experience are encouraged to apply.
